A town of Busti residence was destroyed in a fire that broke out late Sunday.

Firefighters from several departments responded to the blaze at 1619 Forest Ave., at the intersection of Garfield Road. The blaze was reported around 11:30 p.m.

Crews from Busti, the city of Jamestown, Sugar Grove, Lakewood, Celoron, Kiantone, Frewsburg, Fluvanna, Gerry, Kennedy, Falconer, Ellery Center and Kennedy, among others, responded to Busti.

Firefighters remained on scene for several hours.

The multi-story residence was leveled in the blaze, the cause of which is not yet known.
