Nano Science, Engineering and Technology (NSET) is a major thrust for the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Battelle has operated PNNL for the U.S. Department of Energy since 1965. We employ 3,400 staff members and have an annual budget of more than $500 million. PNNL is among the world's premier research laboratories, distinguished by its scientific excellence and known for solving important technical problems.
PNNL is committed to supporting the U.S. Department of Energy in the National Nanotechnology Initiative. We are building on the decades of experience we have in the fields of materials and biology.
