I Found Some Of Your Life

digital cam card photos

Some dude found a memory card from a digital camera that was left behind in a taxi, so he decided he’d post a picture every day and narrate it as if he were the person who was in the pictures. Kind of a creepy blog (it’s almost like impersonating someone or something like that), but one person’s (privacy) loss is our (entertaining) gain.

That absolutely kicks ass. PLUS, he might find the owner too.

funny but

ok this is really funny but i have some doubts. who keeps exactly one years worth of photos on a memory card and never deletes anything? it just doesn't make sense.

he says there are 227 pictures on the card. with the average guy's 3.2MP camera the card would probably have to be 512MB big. yes a 512MB card is pretty cheap today but not so cheap a year ago and i don't know any people with something that large.

i believe it

even a year ago, 512MB wasn't THAT expensive. i mean, if you have the cash to get a 3.2MP camera, i'm sure you can afford a big memory card. i bought a 256mb compact flash card during winter of 2002, and paid $59. and as for keeping stuff on there, there are LOTS of people who do that. i don't know why. even if they back the pics up to a CD or something, they still keep the stuff on the card. i ask them why, and i'll often hear "well, you know...just in case."

cost not an issue

Might be real, might not but I wouldn't discount the fact that the guy had a 512 MB card just bc of the price. He could afford to go to Amsterdam and be in a frat, two VERY expensive endeavors.

The dudes in the picture wear hats EVERYWHERE. They're in shirts and ties, with a cap. Dress up and going out drinking, with a cap.

Maybe they're all balding.

It's another invented narrative, based on a found stash of photos from the 70s and 80s.

Where'd it go?

Looks like it's been yanked, I get a 404. I first noticed it when looking down the right side of my Blogger dashboard and saw that it was crossed out.
