Employment

Ron Smith is a 30-year veteran of oldies radio as a disk jockey, program director, and music director. A life-long Chicagoan, he attended Richards High School in Oak Lawn and North Central College in Naperville, before starting his radio career in Joliet as a program director and morning personality in the mid-'70s.

Ron later worked for two Chicago radio stations and also as senior programmer for Internet radio at RadioWave.com in the Windy City.

Since 1995, he has delighted fans of '50s, '60s and '70s music with the nation's premiere oldies Web site - oldiesmusic.com.  He has authored three reference books to the Silver Dollar Surveys of the '60s, '70s and '80s.

Ron resides in the southwest suburbs with his vast record and book libraries.
