EvilFanFiction('vl fn fk'shn): a story in which the main character is torn down, usually through physical or emotional pain, for the purpose of rebuilding the character...

...aka come here for all your angst, suffering, and hurt/comfort needs.

So what exactly does that mean? First and foremost, no (permanent) killing of the main character (as with everything, there are exceptions). You can bring the character to the brink of death or banish him to the banks of madness, but he must survive. Besides that, though, anything goes. These stories are the embodiment of, "That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Your imagination is the limit. If you're still uncertain, read a few of the stories. I'm sure you will quickly figure out exactly what is meant by EvilFanFiction.
