Harris Marina has been doing business on Rocky Hollow Road for almost 30 years, but Ken Harris may not be around East Greenwich much longer, after the town decides whether to allow him to continue to operate on land designated as public right of way.

Mentors make a difference at EGHS

When her son began his senior year at East Greenwich High School, Robin Miller decided to get involved with the East Greenwich Strategic Mentoring Program. Having just completed her Ph.D. in Nursing at the University of Rhode Island Miller felt like she was at a place in life where she had the time to get involved with the program "I wanted to find a way to give back to the community." she says.

St. Elizabeth's goes to electronic records

Errors and sloppy handwriting can happen in health care records when employees are stressed or short on time.

It’s a problem that St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich is confident can be avoided, now that the nursing home has become the first in Rhode Island to move their records from paper to computer, by installing EMR software, the term for electronic medical records.

Youth to youth conference accentuates the positive

The Bryant University campus was filled with shouts of young adults playing frisbee and joining in group activities on Saturday. These teens were enjoying the weather while taking a break from the speakers, activities and workshops, held at the Youth to Youth Eastern States conference.
