On Origin: Monkey or Man
UCL Union Islamic Society 'Natural Collection'
Delivered: 2006
The theory of evolution is the mainstay of biological science and its founding premise. Its implications cover not only the origins of life but social and political ideology. But how "true" is this powerful idea.
This is a lawman's assessment of the science behind the theory and an outline of the teachings of Islam on the true origins of man.

Islam and Terrorism
UCL Union Islamic Society 'Pearls of Wisdom Collection'
Delivered: 2006
This is a lecture that I have been asked to give many times over many years. This particular recording was from a lecture delivered in UCL, University of Central London, sometime soon after the 7/7 bombings. I had been reading at that time "Hegemony or Survival" by Noam Chomskey , which was detailing what I had been saying for years, that the greatest perpetrators of terror were the Western powers themselves.
This lecture, as all I give in the subject, clarifies that the teachings of Islam do not allow targeting of civilians as means to achieve one's ends.
Jumuah: Dunya, akhira, and choices
Park Road, Nairobi Kenya
Delivered: 2005
Park Road is in a poor district of Nairobi heavily populated by Muslims and I was asked to give the jumma khutba there. The theme I chose was the transitory nature of this world and the permanence of the akhira and the path that leads to it.
Muhammad
Venue pending
Delivered: 2006
This was the last, and I think the best, in a series of lectures around the same topic that I gave over a period of two weeks in Universities up and down the country in response to the Danish Cartoon Controversy.
Most of the lectures were well attended by both Muslim and non-Muslim audiences and so this lecture is suitable for both.
In it I outline something of nature of the attacks against the blessed Prophet Mohammad in his life time and until the present day, and how the actual character of the Prophet himself was in his lifetime and is still today, the best response.
