MOTÖRHEAD Kiss Of Death (Sanctuary) Rating:
NNN
It's hard not to want to admire the boys in Motörhead and maybe give 'em a big fuzzy hug for still kicking ass 30 years into their careers. At a time when bands from that generation should for the most part think about retirement (Aerosmith are laughable, the Stones are like a cartoon parody of their former selves and members of Kiss now have reality shows), Motörhead are still kicking ass. They've never stopped kicking ass, and they've never done anything other than playing totally bitching, pulsating metal, led by the shockingly well-aged wheezy growl of frontman Lemmy Kilminster, who can still write a fresh, mean-sounding tune after all this time. Oh, and he's the only 60-year-old who still looks awesome in a bullet belt.
