A couple of teams had registered during the last few days. Full list of the participants is here. Two more teams may be added to the list by the end of the week: Bulgaria and India.

One month to go

Six more full teams are registered: Canada, Japan, UK, Netherlands, Estonia and Belarus.
Also some more countries declared their wish to participate in the championship but haven’t registered yet: Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Turkey.

Four more full teams are registered: Austria, Hungary, Italy and Slovakia.
Only two weeks are left up to the registration deadline!

Two more full teams are registered: Croatia and France.
Now, there’s a little gift for everyone! All the puzzles of this year Belarusian and Russian Puzzle Championships in one puzzle book! Authors of these championships will create the significant part of the puzzles for the upcoming WPC, and some types presented in this book you will definitely meet in the instruction booklet next month!

Two full teams are registered by this time: Germany and USA.
Please, take care about deadline date (October, 1) of registration to WPC 2008. Do not delay the procedure of registration up to the last open date to avoid long-lasting VISA legalization (invitations, embassies, etc).

The 17th World Puzzle Championship will be held October 27 – November 1, 2008 in Minsk, Belarus.

Each national federation will receive the e-mail containing the detailed information soon.

About the WPF

The World Puzzle Federation is an association of legal bodies with an interest in puzzles. Only one organization per country can belong to the WPF. The WPF follows the Olympic standard in what constitutes a country. Information on present members, criteria for membership, benefits of membership and how to join, is to be found in the Member’s Section.

Goals of the World Puzzle Federation are:

  • to provide the means for an international exchange of puzzle ideas;
  • to stimulate innovations in the field of puzzles;
  • to supervise the annual World Puzzle Championship (WPC) and other puzzle activities;
  • to foster friendship among puzzle enthusiasts world-wide.
