Forbes.com highlights six celebrities that, despite being fired from their jobs, managed great success. One of these celebrities was Billy West, who after being fired from a Boston radio station landed a gig with The Howard Stern Show. This eventually led to his successful voice-over career. Canadian voice actor Matt Hill (Captain N, Ed, Edd n' Eddy) is currently on an 11,000-mile run across the United States and Canada with hopes to inspire environmental action. Hill, along with Stephanie Tait, are on a carbon neutral year-long run called "Run For One Planet" to encourage people across the continent to take simple daily actions in order to improve the planet's environment.
Their trek started in Vancouver, Canada on May 4th, and as of December 25th, they have made it to Florida and have already run 6,551 miles. Upon their return from the tour, funds donated will be used to provide seed capital for eco-system enhancement initiatives around North America.

UK MSN reports that animation director Nick Park turned down Mark Hamill for a role in his upcoming Wallace and Gromit project. Hamill's agent had called with an interest for a part in the animated short A Matter Of Loaf And Death, but Park never returned his call. He was looking for a less 'Hollywood' cast.
