During his two junior lightweight title reigns in the 1990s, Genaro
Hernandez took on all comers, but nothing the fiercely proud
warrior experienced in the prize ring could have prepared him
for what he is going through now as he battles a rare form of
cancer. However, Hernandez is not facing the fight of his life
alone. He has the support of the international boxing community
and the thousands of fans that he touched with his brilliance
inside of the ring and his kindness outside of it.
