Jon Margulies

Jon Margulies is an accomplished producer and guitarist who has been making music professionally since he was 11 years old. Also a leading Ableton Live expert, he is the author of "Ableton Live 7 Power!". As a performer, Jon has played with some of the best musicians in the world in a dizzying array of styles, having appeared at venues as diverse as Carnegie Hall, Tonic, Spirit, the Queens Museum and some of New York's strangest underground parties. Heinrich Zwahlen: Certified Ableton Instructor

Heinrich a swiss german synthesist of the first hour, had the opportunity to study with the greatest of electronic music such as Yello and DAF before coming to New York where he hit the scene with his project Basscut (ten/virgin). Musically between electro, breakbeat and house he was always on the cutting-edge of technical innovation and working with an eclectic set of dj producers from hiphop to house. He's back from a three year recess in Berlin now living in Brooklyn.

Raz Mesinai: Certified Ableton Instructor

Raz has been on the forefront of the underground electronic music scene for over a decade. With a long and extensive history in Dub, Dance Hall, Hip Hop, DubStep, World, and Modern Composition - Mesinai (aka Badawi, Sub Dub, Ladyman) has released over a dozen albums of his own unique blend on several different labels including Instinct, Asphodel, ROIR, and Island Records. Daniel Wyatt

Daniel WyattDaniel Wyatt is a multi-platinum, grammy and emmy-nominated producer/engineer, who began his career at an artist on Warner Brothers and has also lectured extensively in Amsterdam and Tokyo. He has worked with Wax Poetic featuring Norah Jones, Curtis Mayfield, Thievery Corp., the Roots, Ultra Records, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Mos Def, Ziggy Marley, Elephant Man, Killah Priest, and many others. He produced the theme music for "Yo, MTV Raps" that ran internationally for over a decade, as well as for the emmy-nominated Sundance Film "Word Wars". Daniel currently lives in New York, where he maintains a active free-lance career and teaching schedule.

JP Solis

A self taught drummer by age 7, JP's musical ear and versatility as a DJ have made him the go-to guy for any type of event. His musical range and technical ability have placed him alongside the likes of Sasha, Deep Dish, Sander Kleinenberg, Roger Sanchez, and Derrick Carter. And JP has proven himself to be a versatile on-the-spot party rocker, from tagging with DJ AM to open for the Black Eyed Peas to premiers and product launches for the likes of MTV, VH-1, HBO, Paramount Pictures, & Warner Brothers.

JP cut his teeth working at Satellite Records - listening hundreds of records daily. Working the House section of the sales floor allowed him to rub elbows with store regulars like Francois K, Danny Tenaglia, Armand Van Helden, & Miguel Migs. In 2003, JP joined Crobar as an intern and quickly worked his way to Assistant Music Director.

DJ Endo: Native Instruments Specialist

Mike has almost a decade of experience behind the decks, and a lifetime background in Music, Mike Henderson aka DJ Endo, has become an ambassador of the true art form of DJing. Endo is currently the East Coast DJ Product Specialist for Native Instruments, training a diverse range of DJ gurus Ali "Dubfire" Shirazini, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Skribble, DJ Scratch, Slynkee, Victor Calderone, Hector Romero, David Morales on programs Traktor Scratch and Traktor 3.

Neil Armstrong

2008 has been an amazing year for DJ Neil Armstrong. After being tapped by Jay-Z to be his official World Tour DJ, Neil was catapulted into the highest-regarded Hip-Hop tour on the planet. And he held it down. From rocking in front of over 100,000 fans at the Glastonbury Festival, to anchoring a performance on the Letterman Show, to pumping with ice-cold veins at Madison Square Garden (three consecutive shows no less), DJ Neil Armstrong is now in the highest strata of DJ existence - has spun for adidas at the Olympic Games in Beijing, has shared the stage with Rihanna, Beyonce, Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Swiss Beats, Puff Daddy, Timbaland, Bun B, Memphis Bleek, EPMD, and Method Man, or performed alongside Slayer, Interpol, The Cool Kids, Common, Neil Young, Mark Ronson, Coldplay, NERD, and Linkin Park, Neil is as humble and focused as ever.

DJ Reborn

DJ Reborn has been pleasing crowds across the country and abroad for over a decade with her mellifluous blend of soul, hip-hop, reggae, house, afro-beat, nu-jazz, rock and more.

This Chicago native now resides in New York and not only spins at clubs and parties but also at museums (Studio Museum of Harlem, Bronx Museum) as well as live shows (The Roots, Common, Talib Kweli, India Arie, John Legend, Alice Smith and Goapele.) Reborn is also a mentor/workshop facilitator for NYC teens. She has crafted a new workshop specifically for teen girls that explores djing, creative writing and women's images in music/media culture. DJ OBaHDJ OBaH turned a family legacy into a profession, becoming a rising industry music producer and highly sought after NYC DJ. OBaH stands for OldskoolBeatsAndHarmonies for a very good reason... the son of veteran NYC DJ/Record Dealer, Baba Chico, DJ OBaH had the world's best funk, jazz & soul records at his fingertips. Matt Shadetek

Matt Shadetek Matt Shadetek has been making beats since the year 2000, making a name for himself as half of Team Shadetek releasing records on seminal British electronic label Warp Records, Tigerbeat6, Jahmek The World, and Sound-Ink. Focusing on dancehall reggae, grime, dubstep, hip-hop and the cracks in between his underground hit "Brooklyn Anthem" spawned a YouTube dance craze among Brooklyn's teen dancehall dancers who call it the "Craziest Riddim". He is currently working with the Dutty Artz family which he co-founded with DJ /Rupture.

DJ Rupture

DJ RuptureDJ Rupture has performed in over 30 countries, including being tour DJ in a band fronted by Grammy-winner Norah Jones, performing as turntable soloist with the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, and recording two John Peel sessions for BBC radio.

Rupture has given technical artist talks at a number of museums and universities, from Harvard to Brazil. He has released two albums of original music, and numerous mix CDs. Rupture's work has been released on labels as diverse as Soul Jazz, Warner Brothers, and his own imprints, Soot & Dutty Artz. His 'Minesweeper Suite' CD, was named one of the 10 Best Albums of the Year by the WIRE magazine. Rupture has been profiled in dozens of magazines, and maintains an busy worldwide touring schedule.

DJ Shiftee

Chris BigginsDJ Shiftee is one of the premiere battle DJs in the world. Turntablist. Party rocker. Harvard math grad. Battle DJ. Composer. Producer. He is the 2007 DMC Supremacy World Champion (only U.S. champ ever), 2008 IDA/ITF World Vice Champion, and the self-proclaimed greatest sandwich maker of all time. Using two turntables and a mixer as his instruments, Shiftee actively performs turntablist showcases, experimental group projects, and party sets throughout the globe. Known as an established force on the international DJ scene, Shiftee has translated his intuitive math geek mentality into far-reaching success on the turntables.
 

Chris Biggins

Chris BigginsChris is the nexus of VJ'ing and and video instruction in New York City. His production company, United Vision, won Resident VJs of the Year 2007 for their extended work at Crobar. They also VJ at Pacha New York, on the video system they designed & built. Chris is an Apple Certified Instructor in editing, motion graphics and DVD, and speaks at industry events nationwide. Hani

Hani is a prolific New York based DJ/Producer/Remixer who has maintained an appeal in both underground and commercial circles.

Djing at the age of 15 is when this journey into sound all began .In 93' Hani got his start as a Producer doing underground Acid House tracks for Carl Craig's Label (Planet-e) and Deep Dish's (Yoshitoshi). In 94, Hani started his remix career working on projects for Artists such as Deee-Lite, Repercussions & Urban Soul. In 95' Hani got well known for his seductive & unauthorized remix of Sade's "I Never Thought I'd See the Day" (a.k.a. Musk Men). Today he is best known for his dance-chart toping work for Alicia Keys,Justin Timberlake Missy Elliot & Christina Aguilera. More>

Spencer Williams made his way to New York City a little over a year ago. A guitar principle and Music Business alum from Berklee College of Music, Spencer hit the island of Manhattan running. Dustin Cook

A graduate of SAE Institute of Technology, NYC, Dustin has taught Synthesis, Sampling and Logic Pro at SAE. He has also helped to develop their EMP (Electronic Music Producer) program.

Dustin started Djing in 1994 at the age of 19, beginning his career as a promoter throwing the popular Pittsburgh party "Plush." Influenced by many popular NYC DJs such as Dante and Joski to veer towards more experimental sounds, Dustin soon found his passion more in producing than Djing. More>
