That guy is just picking up all sorts of artists.

He’s got Daughtry’s new album, Skillet’s new album, Flyleaf’s new album. He produced the new version of Chris Cornell’s Long Gone. He did Halestorm, Hoobastank, Meg and Dia, Ryan Star.

Must be hella rich by now :-p

They spilt in 2004? Man, Alter Bridge do their albums quick. From what I remember AB debut came out Aug. 2004

This guy’s resume is ridiculous: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_Benson

It’s a shame he was responsible for Unstable. It’s like his albatross.

Yeah Unstable sucks, but he has helped out with some fantastic albums.

Welcome back, Creed. I’m so glad we have another band to fill our sound-alike rock needs. Those Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Saving Abel, Hinder and Theory Of A Deadman albums provide a nice continuous mind-numbing loop in my car, and I still can’t figure out which one is which. So I’m really happy we have you back to make things even more confusing!

By the way, has anyone seen any of these bands in the same room together? Probably not, right? Then my theory of one band creating the music for all of these bands remains intact.

Welcome back Forest Law. You’re still a douche.

Streamline has an album named Full Circle as well.

I missed Forest Law, he shows us what true villainy is.

This is going to be the best thing to happen to Creed since….who knows. I can’t wait for this now.

I find it ironic that Forest used the word Theory in his argument.

By the way, Howard Benson is the man. He produced Blindside’s ‘Silence’…nothing more needs to be said.

Veritas - so does Drowning Pool. Popular name for albums I guess.

I thought Unstable was pretty good. That guy has a good resumé.

Whether this album is good or bad, it will sell a bajillion copies just because of the following. I hope Howard Benson does well on it, because if not, he adds another Unstable to his recording resume.

Also, Mikel, I couldn’t agree more with ‘Silence’.

OK Jesse, I’m a douche because I don’t like regressive Neanderthal rock. That’s your opinion, and you’re entitled to it.

This band has never taken a chance. They rehash the same material over and over again. They exist only to sell albums, and I have no respect for bands like that.

Creed, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down = this generation’s Journey, Foreigner and REO Speedwagon. Even worse, actually - at least the latter three had some musicians that knew their way around their instruments. I’ll give you Mark Tremonti … the guy can play, but everyone else is pathetic.

I dont understand how you put Creed with Nickelback? I know you hate both bands but they are nothing alike.

Journey was incredible.

Forest Law is like the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Forest Law: “Those Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Saving Abel, Hinder and Theory Of A Deadman albums provide a nice continuous mind-numbing loop in my car, and I still can’t figure out which one is which.”

So if you hate the CD’s so much, then STOP LISTENING TO THEM!!!

Why the heck would you “continuously” listen to something you obviously hate?

Comment from Jesse

No, Forest. The reason you are a douche is because you seem to live to tell the world how much you hate these bands. If you don’t like this piece of news, just don’t say anything about it. How difficult is that to comprehend?

Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Saving Abel, Hinder and Theory Of A Deadman

I dislike all of those bands, yet I love Creed. Why is this? Because Creed is different whether you like to admit it or not. And if you think they have never taken a chance, look at the amount of change from one album to the next. Look at songs like Bullets and What If. You don’t like anything that gets played on the radio, apparently. If you don’t have the intelligence or musical knowlege to be able to tell two very different styles apart, then that is your problem.

You hate Scott Stapp. I don’t like him much either. Tremonti speaks for himself. But you obviously cannot tell a good drummer when you hear one, because Scott Philips is amazing. And Brian Marshall, as far as bassists go, is not at all untalented.

I just wanted to say that if it wasn’t for Creed (especially in the mid-90s) there wouldn’t be a Nickelback or 3 Doors Down. They laid the groundwork for the form of hard rock music the way it is now along with bands like the Foo Fighters, Bush, Collective Soul, Nirvana, and Alice in Chains. This is why you can’t group Creed with thos other newer bands. Personally I’m not a fan of Stapp, but the band has a lot of talent in fact I think much more talent than Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, and Hinder.

Creed made some damn good music, end of story. That band can rock. Just because Creed may have inspired some sound-alikes who don’t sound as good as them, why hate Creed?

Hmm, let me get this straight Jesse and Pen. It’s ok to make “positive comments” about the threads, but not “negative”? So then, what would that make Pen for his comments about Slash on American Idol then? I thought you two said if you have nothing good to say, then say nothing at all. I see, do as I say and not as I do in your world, eh? Of course, who made you the God of Tunelab and what opinions, positive or negative, can be made? Why dont the two of you shut your traps from here on out in regards to others opinions, because you two are a couple of the biggest hypocrites on this thing. Respect everyone’s opinion, regardless of if you like or agree with their opinions or not.

I dont like the producer choice. The album will be way too slick and over produced. I guess someone like a Steve Albini or Brendan O’ Brien would never work with Creed.

Axe2Grind, maybe you ought to take your own advice and shut your own mouth, because honestly nobody wants to read your comments in what would otherwise be a productive discussion. Pen is a natural comedian and I found quite a bit of humor in his comment about Slash. If you are too blind to see very blatant comedy, I think you have to blame that on your own lack of intelligence and your own hipocracy. I’m sure there are tutorials out there. Google “how to take a joke without coming off as an asshole” and I’m sure you’ll find something that fits your need. In the mean time, we’d all appreciate it if you would post comments that don’t prove your name correct.

“Pen is a natural comedian”? Do you usually go around with your nose planted up his ass?

“We’d all…” Ahh, the arrogance (and ignorance) of constantly speaking for everyone.

Your definition of Blatant comedy probably differs from the majority that actually know what blatant means. And yes, it was obvious he was “attempting” at humor, but it just wasn’t funny…it was lame, like the two of you.

Yo DarkDragon, i think i remember reading that they were talking to Brenden O’Brien… and i think yer right about this album being too slick and polished. It seems like all his drum recordings sound like samples.

Will this be released under WindUp?
