Paper posthumously honors living man

AkronbeacAnother senseless death at the hands of a newspaper:

For years,
former University of Akron President Dominic Guzzetta has joked with
friends that he checks the paper daily to make certain his name isn’t
among the deceased. On Monday, it was.

A correspondent incorrectly wrote inThe Scene that Guzzetta had been
posthumously honored at "A World of Nations and Cultures One Night"
– an event on Saturday to raise funds for the International Institute.

By noon Monday, Guzzetta had received at least 25 telephone calls.
"I guess they wanted to be among the first to extend their
condolences,” he quipped, being a good sport. "I look forward to
reading about my resurrection."

Our sincere apologies, Dr. Guzzetta.
