The St. Albans band, Friendly Fires, is on Later with Jools Holland on BBC2 right now. Here's what the programme website, where you'll soon be able to watch the performance, has to say about them:
"Making their Later debut, St Albans boys Friendly Fires are set to whip up a storm with their fresh and innovative indie-electro pop shenanigans. Their eponymous debut album was released in early September and features awesome single Paris. Expect big things from these chaps."
Note: For the sake of longevity (iPlayer only let's you watch programmes for 7 days) I've embedded a clip of friendly fires that someone youtubed:
They have an official website too where you can see more about the band:

On the Tuesday live show, Jools started spouting stuff about St Albans - "an interesting place, a great place".
Haven't seen the Friday episode yet.
But yeah, I've been following the band for a few years (back when they were "First Day Back" playing at the Horn).
Good to see them doing so well!

How you think when the economic crisis will end? I wish to make statistics of independent opinions!
