POLLY the Tekno Parrot is Manley Really Speaks His Mind

March 2 With the introduction of TEKNO the Robotic Puppy, the #1 selling toy and most recently KITTY the Tekno Kitten, Manley Toy Quest has expanded their Tekno line of robotic animal friends with POLLY the Tekno Parrot. POLLY is an edgy, talkative robotic parrot who will land on retail shelves in March 2001.
POLLY is a life-like robot that does everything a real parrot will do ...and more! He comes in a high tech interactive cage that will also charge his batteries. He can flap his wings, ruffle his headdress and talk his head off with his extensive vocabulary. POLLY also features voice learning capability and can repeat anything you say! POLLY is voice, light and touch activated and can be trained by his owner, but is most happy munching on his high tech cracker!

POLLY is completely interactive and features LED eyes and sensors throughout his body that recognize changes in light, voice and touch. POLLY's mood can change easily and his eyes will vary from green to yellow to red depending on how he feels. Be assured that he will let you know when he wants to be taken out of his cage.

"The initial launch of Polly at Toy Fair 2001 was a huge success, as was the entire Tekno Robotic line," commented Brian Dubinsky, President of Manley Toy Quest. "With Polly we have created a really unique product that is a great compliment to Tekno the Robotic Puppy and Kitty the Tekno Kitten."

POLLY the Tekno Parrot retails for approximately $39.99 and will be available at all mass market retail stores. Manley Toy Quest has plans to launch a national television advertising campaign in March 2001.
