LIVE

The show has not started yet.

  • You can vote for your favourite in our poll here

The show is starting!

Miriam and Alban opens the last night of the festival.

1. Pirro Çako - Një tjetër jetë

Current esctoday.com poll result: =19th (0%)

Pirro opens the festival tonight. He is standing along on stage singing his power ballad. The orchestra is back and the violins are heavily used in the arrangement.

2. Erga Halilaj - Party

Current esctoday.com poll result: =13th (0.5%)

Eight dancers are on stage to join Erga for her partly-English party, with her pop-rock song. Her vocal performance tonight is very strong and it goes along very well with the active stage performance. Will the juries like it?

3. Denisa Macaj - Aria

Current esctoday.com poll result: 2nd (17.6%)

Denisa is a bit out of tune tonight when she is singing her ethnic ballad with operatic touches. She is wearing black and silver tonight. The song is strong although it does not seem to go anywhere thanks to the seemingly endless repetition of the word Aria. She might reach a good placing tonight but still not win.

4. Rovena Dilo - Përtej kohës

Current esctoday.com poll result: =13th (0.5%)

Rovena's song is an energetic ballad, which is performed very well, although she has some sound problems and does not seem to hear the orchestra very well. Although the performance is passionate the song is rather chaotic and it might not be one of the top favourites for vicotry  tonight.

5. Dorina Garuci - Sekreti i dashurisë

Current esctoday.com poll result: 9th (2.2%)

Beautiful Dorina appears on stage with in a long white dress. Her song is an up-tempo pop with ethnic touches and when it comes to the melody, some similarities to the 2008 Swedish entry Hero cannot be denied. The performance, which includes two male dancers, is very energetic and this entry might do very well tonight.

The jury is presented now.

6. Anjeza Shahini - Në pasqyrë

Current esctoday.com poll result: 1st (34.6%)

Anjeza is now on stage wearing the silver dress from the first night. She appears to be very excited but her vocal performance is intense. The song is a power ballad that builds up as the song goes on and it is probably one of the favorites in tonight's show.

7. Erti Hizmo & Lindita Halimi - Nuk të dorezohem

Current esctoday.com poll result: =19th (0%)

Lindita is opening the song dressed in a long red dress. Shortly after, Erti joins her and they sing what is probably the most powerful song in the whole festival. The piano is playing a main role and the viloins are helping in the chorus.

8. Juliana Pasha - Nuk mundem pa ty

Current esctoday.com poll result: =4th (7.7%)

Juliana Pasha: 3rd in 2008, 2nd in 2009, and here comes her 2010 song, which is a casual up-tempo song. The performance involves strong vocals and an energetic stage show. This song might be among the favourites tonight.

9. Guximtar Rushani - Gëzuar

Current esctoday.com poll result: =13th (0.5%)

Guximtar's song is a slow ballad. His voice gives it some ethnic touches, but overall it is not one of the strongest entries tonight. The performance is kept simple and overall this is obviuosly not an effort that would make many people vote in the Eurovision Song Contest.

10. Kejsi Tola - Ndonjëherë

Current esctoday.com poll result: 3rd (9.3%)

Kejsi, who represented Albania in Moscow earlier this May, is ready for another participation. She is trying to win tonight's festival in a long beautiful dress and of course with her piano ballad. It is sung very well, and now only the juries will decide if they want to give her another chance.

11. Teuta Kurti - Mall i pashuar

Current esctoday.com poll result: =13th (0.5%)

Teuta, who came from Kosovo to Tirana, sings an up-tempo song. The intro is very long and only after a while she starts singing. Her vocal performance is remarkable and so is her dress. She is one of the favourites tonight despite not being very dominant.

12. Flaka Krelani - Lë të bëhet çfare te doje

Current esctoday.com poll result: =4th (7.7%)

And from one Kosovar singer to another. Flaka, with a new haircut and new clothes - this time a blue shirt with a black jacket - and her guitarist are going through this fast song which involves  both rock and classical music.

13. Bojken Lako & Banda Adriatica - Love love love

Current esctoday.com poll result: 8th (3.3%)

Bojken is singing the rock and classical song Love, love, love along with Banda Adriatica. The band includes different instruments as trumpets, accordion, cello and a flute.

14. Goldi Halili - Tirana Brodway

Current esctoday.com poll result: =10th (1.1%)

Here is Goldi Halili, who qualified from the semi final. In green clothes she begins at a piano speaking, and soon the cabaret song starts. The singer is accompanied by many dancers. Her first performance was on Friday, and who knows what will happen after tonight?

15. Stefi & Endrri Prifti - U dogjem mrekullisht

Current esctoday.com poll result: =13th (0.5%)

Stefi and Endri are singing a rock ballad. Their voices are powerful and the song is performed well, but it doesn't go anywhere and it might not win the hearts of the jury.

16. Iris Hoxha - Zërin tim ta ndjesh

Current esctoday.com poll result: =10th (1.1%)

This is the second semi final qualifier. Although the song is not outstanding among the 20 entries tonight, the singer delivers a passionate and professional performance considering that she is a newcomer. However, she is probably not among the favourites tonight.

17. Claudio La Regina - Ave Maria

Current esctoday.com poll result: =10th (1.1%)

Claudio La Regina is causually dressed for the performance of his song. He delivers the chant in an emotional way but generally this entry might bee too repetitive to do well in the Eurovision Song Contest. The spiritual message might still appeal to some people.

18. Era Rusi - Fjalë dhe gjunjë

Current esctoday.com poll result: =13th (0.5%)

Era Rusi, who is wearing black again, has brought two shirtless male dancers on stage to create a visual impression that has become rather familiar over the last few Eurovision Song Contests. The song is in a classic Eurovision style mixing up-tempo pop music with ethnic elements. The choreography suits the song very well and the vocals are strong. This could well be among the top entries tonight.

19. Mariza Ikonomi - La, la, la

Current esctoday.com poll result: 7th (3.8%)

It is not sure if it was a clever move to change the song title to La, la, la as this might make many people downgrade the song even before hearing it. The La, la, la lines still suit the song very wellas they support the light-hearted flower power feeling the song creates on stage. Generally, this song might be one of the strongest efforts on stage tonight as it is both original and authentic. The vocal performance is very strong and the simple stage performance seems to be perfect for the song.

20. Kamela Islami - Gjëra të thjeshta

Current esctoday.com poll result: 6th (7.1%)

The last song tonight has a very long intro part but the singer is heating up as the song starts. The song might not be one that sticks to your head when you listen to it for the first time but it is a "grower". The audience reacts very positively to this entry, which might do well tonight.

Our poll is closed now. You can find the final results above.

WELL, IF WE SUPPOSE THAT ANJEZA HAD NOT THE BEST SONG, THAT ASPECT DOES NOT MEAN THAT JURY WILL FIX THE RESULTS. IN ANY CONDITION WHETHER ANJEZA'S SONG WAS GOOD OR BAD, IT WAS WHAT THE MAJORITY OF ALBANIAN PEOPLE WANTED TO WIN.

Excuse me Anjeza fan's but did anyone realy think she could make the Final with a totaly boring ballad? Poland tried that approach in 2009 sending a beautiful woman.. (blonde bombshell) with an okay voice and awful English lyrics and a very bad singing accent.

Sure she got what I would call the miniscule neighbouring votes and Disapora but it was only enough to reach 12th place was it?
Maybe a few men voted because they had the Television on mute..

The point I am making is, boring ballads fail. Chiara was crucified by the Juries because the song 'What if We' was nowhere near as good as 'Angel' an amazing ballad.. Now maybe if Anjeza came back in the 2011 Albanian NF and sung a song as good as Yohanna's 'Is It True' or better I would vote for her about 10 times
(Like I voted for Iceland in 2009 a few times as I never planned Yohanna would surprise me and do so well ^^)

Now about Juliana's song. It came as a pleasant surprise this year as the juries were all spot on selecting the right song to send to Oslo, also with the right arrangement, good vocals and not over the top stage design
(blue men and dancing hobbets - Albania 2009 -.-" ;)
I think she could score well, from all the Nf songs I have heard so Far this would have to be my favourite as the standerd in Malta, Poland and Belarus at the minute is so low..
(Please take no offence)

I think this year could be good for Albania AS LONG as she sings in her national language, not translating the song into English.. I will not lie, I thought the first version of 'Carry me in your dreams' was a great song, but in English her voice sounded weak and I believe that is why she scored so badly..

(Ps. Great to see the first female representative. ESC 2010 has been very male dominated so far lol. ^^ We need a few big Female voices to make it intresting like 2009)

@kripe drita
you can laugh - but it's a fact that FIK is fixed -
take 2007 for example Dorotina & Flaka got 12 points from almost everyone, and the juries that give them 12 gave them 10 or 8.... and then the 2 last juries gave them pure zero.
which made Olta win out - so yes ! FIK IS FIXED

and that's just one example.

are you laughing now ?

@ lord albanian

"all newspapers talked about FIK being sold"... :)
you made me laugh man. Since when are all Albanian newspapers so reliable???? That's a miracle.

Yes, Thorazin. That might explain why so many contestants were wearing black or grey. There's nothing wrong with a bit a colour. Especially when the song is uptempo. Is anyone able to trnslate the title of the winnig song? Thanks.

"Thorazin, Juliana's song is a safe bet: reliable pop tune supported by a powerful voice. Now they just have to work the whole package. Different dress, a more colourful stage presentation without going overboard, for example."

I agree Shevek. One of the problems for me (With their 09 entry) is that with the choreo, dress, lighting etc is that they went totally over the top, so like you said they musn't go overboard again.

Really, Lord Albion. Do you know why? Is Juliana that well connected. I know nothing of the Albanian music scene.

The show itself was a bit too long and stuffy, but the whole thing was not bad. Congratulations, Albania. You chose one of ythe best songs. I would have chosen nº11, but it would probably do worse.

Anna Vissi was a granny too... and so was Evridiki in 2007... most countries have sent many a granny to Eurovision...

you people in here are childish and come up with stupid comments about stuff that are not true at all... grow up. I remember when so many people thought that Serbia would not win in 2007 because Marija looked like a lesbian... well her own personality combined with a good song gave them the victory. SO many people last year as well thought the Icelandic entry was just mediocre when it won the national final, but it came second.. this prooves how WRONG many of you always are...

THOUGH, i LOVE Julianas song (which as a song was far stronger than Anjezas - which got the public vote probably because of her name mostly) i still think its too similar with the cypriotic entry in 2007...

What´s the problem? In a horrible show one of the best songs won. Anjeza has a good voice, but the song was very bad. Juliana has a good uptempo song and you all know she will be in the final in oslo. She will not score high in the final, but she will be in. The only thing that should be changed is the dress. Who told her to wear this. But okay, Anjeza also had a dress, which looked like designed by a drunken designer ;-)

Anyway, good luck to Albania. And you please stop lauhing about the Dutch song? First wait for the final version of the song. And it´s something real Dutch again. Albania will be for sure English again next year.

oh well it's typical in many NF (and i won't say where these NF are usually from, just pay attention around) that the juries totally support one entry, ignore the rest to make sure it wins no matter what !

I enjoyed the show - Albania (with a great webcast compared to f. ex. Norway's webcast) is every year a great kick-off for the ESC-season...
Congratulations and good night, guys...! ;)
