Already promoted AFC Bournemouth come to the Saltergate party tomorrow.
They'll have an eye on Sunday when they're due on an open top bus parade around the seaside town though they'll be desperate to hold on to second spot, gained last week after they thumped Port Vale 4-0 whilst Rochdale lost at home to Burton Albion.

Eddie Howe, surely the section's top manager, will be without centre half Rhoys Wiggins whose loan spell from Norwich City ended last week.

His spell at Dean Court ended with a great ovation as he was benevolently subbed a couple of minutes before the end. Warren Cummings is set to replace him.

Former Saltergate favourite Steve Fletcher, who made his league debut at the ground as a teenager for Hartlepool United, will be assured of a great welcome while 18-year- old goalkeeper Dan Thomas is set for what would only be his second ever league start with Shwan Jalal out with an ankle injury.

Twenty-eight goal Brett Pitman will be desperate for one more to make him Cherries' highest scorer since Ted MacDougall in the 1970's.

Mark Allott and Danny Hall have recovered from the virus that forced them to miss the 2-0 defeat at Accrington Stanley last week, the game that all but blew Spireites top seven chance. If Allott starts, it would be his 250th league start for Chesterfield.

However, for once, all attention will be focussed on Saltergate, home of Chesterfield since 1871. It will be the 1827th league game played on the ground and the 3159th first team game of any type.

With a sell out crowd gathered, and Chesterfield fans on all four sides of the ground, emotions will be high as the spiritual home of the Spireites locks its doors for the last time, unless, of course Dagenham lose whilst Port Vale and Bury don't win.

That would mean things would get interesting!
