Paije's 'X Factor' exit pulls in 15m

More than 15 million watched Paije Richardson become the ninth act to be voted out of The X Factor on Sunday evening, according to the latest audience figures.
The programme's results show averaged 15.25m (50%) for ITV1 in the 8pm hour, peaking at a colossal 16.42m (55.8%) for the final 15 minutes.
After The X Factor, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! continued with 10.66m (38.7%) as Gillian McKeith tackled her fifth Bushtucker Trial. Earlier in the evening, The Cube: Celebrity Special appealed to 5.6m (20.8%) on ITV1 from 7pm
Strictly Come Dancing pulled in 11.07m (39.2%) on BBC One from 7.30pm, as Felicity Kendal became the seventh celebrity to exit this year's competition.
Elsewhere on BBC One, Countryfile brought in a healthy 8m (32.3%) from 6.30pm. Antiques Roadshow managed 6.25m (20.6%) in the 8pm hour, before the second series of Garrow's Law mustered 4.71m (16.5%), down 640k week-on-week.
On BBC Two, Making Scotland's Landscape entertained 980k (3.2%) in the 8pm hour. It was followed by JFK: The Making of Modern Politics with 1.41m (5%) and a repeat of The Trip with 750k (3%). Match Of The Day 2 then grabbed 2.28m (14.9%) from 10.30pm.
Channel 4's River Cottage Best Bites took 800k (2.7%) in the 8pm hour and 207k (0.7%) on timeshift. It was followed by the premiere of new drama Any Human Heart, which entertained 1.48m (5.5%) and 95k (0.5%) on Channel 4 +1. Desperate Housewives then had 640k (4.7%) and 61k (1%) an hour later.
Screenings of Ghostbusters II and Speed attracted respective audiences of 1.35m (4.7%) and 1.69m (7.1%) on Channel Five from 7pm.
Overall, ITV1 owned primetime with 35.4% against BBC One's 22.3%. Channel Five came in third with 5.6%, followed by BBC Two with 5.2% and Channel 4 with 4.3% (+1: 0.6%).
Elsewhere, The Xtra Factor gained the biggest multichannel audience with a massive 1.2m (4.3%) from 9pm and 117k (0.6%). It was followed by I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here Now!, which had 1.18m (7.4%) and 73k (1%) an hour later
