I still love Warriors, but I'm worried that a 5th series will be too much and won't feel right - I think the fourth series was/is intended to bring a sense of closure: death of Firestar (who the series started with), we find out so much more about the Clans and their background, the Clans have a sort of Renaissance and a new beginning...

If they do make a fifth series, though, I'll still read it and I'm sure I'll enjoy it, probably as much as I've enjoyed the first four series XD

I hope they don't mess it up. I mean, yeah, they're good books, but so many other series have been butchered by too many series. I hope this isn't one of them :c

I can see how the new 5th series could start a line of stories that would continue through the seasons all the way up to Bluestar. Maybe.

Minou: Kate posted a "Sworn to Silence" entry instead. From what I can gather, she has been told to keep quiet about that & other things until after the chat. It sounds like it will be back out for discussion after the chat. I asked her where it went & all she said was Shhh, sworn to silence.

I don't remember - did Vicki say he'd definitely die in the 4th series? That's doesn't sound vague enough for Vicky. If the 5th is going to be completely different, it would make sense to kill him off this time, but I think she does the whole story arc before doing the 1st book in a series, so she probably wouldn't have known about this 5th series then. Guess we'll just have to wait & see. Makes me nervous, though.

I just had a total squeaky fanboy moment, and if the computer wasn't sitting on me I probably would've jumped up and down. Still, I hope they move away from the mysticism and Ghost Cats, because I feel the series was better when it was simpler. My personal favorite series was the 2nd, and I would like more quests for real cats. Despite that, I understand why they moved on from that. every series is about questioning something considered ironclad. Clan loyalty, Clan cat's loyalties, StarClan, and now death. I can't help but shiver in anticipation for what will come next.

Sunbeam: You're right, I never noticed that before - how each series is about questioning something that seems so set in stone. I think that gave me a whole new appreciation of the construction of the series itself, lol.

Theres always the bears! I Just started reading those, and they're pretty good. my library only has book 1, though...

Sunbeam: Mine has only book 1, too, & I haven't read it. One of these days. I ran right out & bought it in hard cover, then kind of forgot about it & had lots of other reading. It was annoying when I still hadn't read it when it came out in paper. I hate it when I do that. Maybe once the whole series of 6 is out I'll start reading them.
