2. Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2010/2011

Since 2005 the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown had become an annual event for Singapore families and tourists to celebrate New Year’s Eve with spectacular fireworks, free music performances and extravagant visual arts display which create an unrivalled atmosphere of festivity.  For this year, iconic skylines and beautiful landmarks such as Marina Bay Sands integrated resort, the Helix Bridge, Marina Bay waterfront promenade, and the Youth Olympic Park are newly added to the festive backdrop.    The Marina Bay Singapore Countdown is the traditional and  most popular way for everyone to bid farewell to 2010 and says hello to 2011 with more than 300,000 people expecting to attend this event. Singapore has joined the likes of Sydney and New York in being able to throw a massive party, welcoming the new year with dazzling fireworks and an all-round feeling of joy and positivity.

Don’t forget to view the 8 minutes of spectacular fireworks at the stroke of midnight accompanied by an original score by local composer Iskandar Ismail.

4. MediaCorp Channel 8 Countdown 2011 Party

For: Whole Family

 If you are fans of Chanel 8 artors such as Fann Wong and Tay Ping Hui, this will be the best way to usher in the  New Year at this countdown party hosted by Quan Yifeng and Dasmond Koh.

Time: 11.00pm - 12.30am

Venue: Vivo City

Admission:  Ticket are fully redeemed!  Spend $150 at any outlet in the mall till Fri to redeem a pair of tickets to the countdown party.

 

 

5. Clarke Quay Countdown 2011 Party

Through Your Lens: Marina Bay Countdown Exhibition

This exhibition features poignant moments depicting the memorable and spectacular lighting of the bay and the bonding of family and friends along the Esplanade waterfront area.   The winning entries from the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown Photography Competition 09/10 are featured at this exhibition are displayed with the courtesy of Urban Redevelopment Authority, Singapore.

Serangoon Swing 2011

For: Whole Family

Come down this this heartland countdown at BoonLay if you are staying around the region.  It will be hosted by Samuel Chong and Wendy Tseng.   You will be able to see many Local Artistes such as Chen Zhao Rong, Rahimah Rahim, Marcus Chin, Chen Ming Pei, Max Surin, Ling Xiao, Sugie and Silver Ang.   There will be other interesting performances such as the Fire-breathers, Mardi Gras Dancers and Japanese Cosplayers.  On top of that, there will be free PopCorn and Candy Floss and Goodie Bags!
