email charity GmbH

email charity GmbH has developed an innovative way of leveraging e-mails to generate donations to charity. It´s easy and costs nothing to implement: all participants do is include a link in their e-mail signature to the charity projects they are supporting. So with every mail sent out, recipients have the option of clicking on the link and making a donation - online if they wish.

Social impact:
By the end of 2009 5,000 supporters had signed up to include a charity banner in their e-mail signatures. Around 3.1 million e-mails had been sent, each of them advertising partner charities supported by email charity.
Duration of BV involvement: 2008-2009. Due to changes in management and an unpredictable agitation of the online advertising market email charity was closed as a company in 2009.

Institut für Vermittlungscoaching / VC-Coaching eG

People have greater success in finding work once they know what they really want. This was the basic idea with which Thomas Heinle set out when he founded the Institut für Vermittlungscoaching, an organisation which encourages an active approach towards job hunting. It is a method that can lead to success, even uncovering job opportunities that are not on the open market. The long-term unemployed in particular benefit.

Social impact:
By the end of 2007 around 700 people had received training through the Institut für Vermittlungscoaching. Centres of competence, set up in cooperation with Lebensunternehmer eG, provide job information, workshops and coaching in several cities in Germany.
Duration of BV involvement: 2004 – 2008.
