Welcome to Great Barr School Sixth Form where we are proud of our strong pastoral and academic support for students who, year on year, achieve improvements in academic results. We aim to nurture the intellectual and social development of every student in a caring yet challenging climate.
Our students experience a rigorous academic environment with high expectations of every individual while enjoying the strong ‘Great Barr community’ with plenty of opportunities for extra-curricular activities.
Our pupils have experienced study visits in recent years to NASA in the USA, tropical rainforests, schools in Africa and language courses in France; others have enjoyed skiing, science, maths and other subject visits and events. We have strong links and visits to local universities and some attend Oxbridge entrance preparation courses. Every pupil receives personal advice, guidance and support to help them make appropriate choices for their future.
