Team Immunity pick up top Australian Halo Reach team
May 23 2011 02:00 PM | Beware in Halo ReachTeam Immunity pick up top Australian Halo reach team
Australia’s premier multi-gaming house, Team Immunity, is proud to announce the recent pick-up of Australia’s top Halo Reach team. Halo Reach is one of the largest competitive gaming scenes for console platforms in the world, building on the success of the multiple successful Halo titles. The global community continues to grow with large international competitions attracting teams from across the globe. Team Immunity recognises the talent of these players and will be supporting this already successful team to ensure they are better able to represent Australia on the international stage.
The line-up has been playing together since 2010 competing in the Halo 3 competitive scene, dominating the Australian scene and taking 17th place at MLG in Columbus; the largest international competitive for Halo. After a short separation coming into 2011, they have pulled together once again to dominate the Australian scene in Halo Reach, consisting of the four most well-known players in Australia, the team is:
Matt ‘Heff’ Hefren – Captain
Aaron ‘Benno’ Bennett
Matt ‘Voltage’ Barker
Isaac ‘Slayer’ Turkovic
The team is fast becoming an international hit for Australia, with a multitude of fans domestically and internationally. On the team’s success, team captain Matt ‘Heff’ Hefren explains, “The key to having a good Halo team is having a team capable of playing every role. Everyone in our team has learnt to support, frag and do objective work. Everyone on this team is more than capable of working together and fulfilling each role.”
The team shows a high level of professionalism and dedication through their performances, demeanour and practice routine. On a typical practice week they will spend five to eight hours gaming, watching replays, following live-streams or developing strategies. Most importantly however they lead balanced lives between social commitments, work, studying and their competitive video gaming. Matt comments, “We feel it is necessary to have a balanced life outside of gaming otherwise we can burn ourselves out and it affects our ability to perform.”
Team Immunity will be sending the team to MLG 2011 in California this year, with the hope that the boys, now with dedicated support, can represent Australia and achieve a better position than 17th. “The support of Team Immunity is probably the best thing that has ever happened to our team, for the longest time we’ve been trying to find an organisation to help us so we could really show our talent on the international stage,” Matt comments on the recruitment.
Team Immunity recognise the potential of the growing Halo Reach competitive scene and is proud to have Australia’s most prominent team representing Team Immunity in the growing size and number of Halo Reach competitions both domestically and internationally. Team Immunity will increasingly be participating in the Australian competitive console scene well into the future and would like to thank all fans for their support.

I'll make sure there's no shenanigans before an 8am matchup against Warriors. I tried to via chat last time, but its hard to slap players into line over that distance.
