Paracyclotosaurus was a large amphibian that resembled today’s salamander. It grew to over 6 feet in length, was totally aquatic and probably lived on fish that it could catch in its wide jaws. Cracks in the skull and shoulder girdle are consistent with this individual having been killed by a fallen tree trunk.
