Welcome to a Web site honoring the 1953 Senior Class of Humes High School, Memphis, Tennessee.

We, the graduates, are proud to present information on our high school years. This site includes names of the graduates, school personnel, special happenings, nostalgic remembrances and thoughts of life in the 1950s. Since this site will be under construction for awhile, anyone with a friend, relative, loved one, or acquaintance of a Humes graduate is encouraged to contact us with information that can be shared.

Humes High School gained fame in the 1950s as one of its graduates rose to international stardom. This 1953 graduate was ELVIS PRESLEY. His fame and legend continues today and is passed on from generation to generation. If you have information about Elvis during his high school years at Humes, please let us know so we can share these long lost tidbits with his fans worldwide. 

In October 2003, we celebrated our 50th reunion. Much of the information on this site came from this reunion gathering. Many of our classmates were unable to attend due to various circumstances, and many others have left us and their loved ones, passing on to the Great Beyond. Our prayers are with them.
