Last night in Jazz Institute, Belgrade, 8PM (11AM SLT) Serbia opened its island in Second Life.

Virtual Serbia Under Construction

Yours truly sent her human to see what's going on, drink some champagne and mingle a bit. That was mixed with some off-side media rush (which will be addressed one of these days) to have a complete nice evening.

For the grand opening of the Serbia island we had a pleasure of listening Ivan Tasovac, Director of Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra who played Allegro Marcato by Sergei Prokofyev in a nice machinima.

Project "Serbia Under Construction" is started by Publicis Groupe agency. Project is supported by Ministry of Diaspora of the Serbian Government which plans their permanent presence in Second Life and Telekom Serbia

It was spoken about opening of a museum of Nikola Tesla, Exit festival and Gucha festival presence. At this moment, Serbia island is under construction, stay tuned for more.

  1. Sounds like interesting plans, although I must admit I’ve never heard from the Gucha festival.

  2. I guess… but if you are not into loud folk music from brass bands and excessive amounts of alcohol… you didn’t missed much.
But it gets 300.000 visitors, or so they say and there is some people who come and obviously love it. *shrug*

  3. I’m from Serbia, and I’m wondering when are people from Serbia be able to join second life? i tried to join many times, but they still don’t have the mobile phone operator 4 Serbia..

  4. You don’t need mobile operator to join. Just register on the site and there you go. There are some SL residents from Serbia.

  5. LoL,i tried,but i haven’t recieved an e-mail 4 validating..but never mind I’ll try again until i register,i really like this game :D tnx anyway :))

  6. I still can’t register xD it always asks me to select the mobile operator or 2 have a pay pal account but i have neither of those 2 :P

  7. Are you by any chance trying to register to Teen Grid?

  8. Yeah, why?Should I try with the Adult Grid?

  9. Teen Grid has that weird way of checking registrations. I’ll ask today what you should do. Other tactics is to register on the main grid and when you rezz on the Orientation Island (the first place where you appear) search for the mentor around (there usually is one) and tell that you are under 18 and that you couldn’t register on TG. That usually brings a Linden in a matter of minutes which will do the rest :)

  10. LoL :D Ok,tnx very much,I’ll try that way,and if I have some more troubles I’ll bother u more lol xD

  11. Registration failed.

We are unable to complete your Second Life registration.
    We apologize for the inconvenience.

This is the 39543 rd time I tried…xD

  12. LoL i finally managed 2 register but now the aplication of second life doesn’t work xD but tnx soo much 4 the advices and i’m sorry 4 bein; borring xD :***
