Thank you (and welcome back,) Daphne, Roland, Bejay, Weava and all, for your continued feedback and encouragement. Zahra's Paradise is now barely a month away from publication in book form in English and other languages. We're also switching back to three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the last four weeks of the web serial, starting next week. Fasten your seat belts...

Thank you, Roland, for putting so concisely into words a truth that plays itself out across numerous other times and places as well (different characters and contexts, same dynamics). This strip continues to amaze me by its deep wisdom and creative brilliance as well as by its humanity and compassion and moral compass.

Ayatollah Zaheer is worried about his reputation before all else... which is precisely why the Mortezas who commit atrocities in his name will never be brought to justice. We can't have stupid, poor, little, dead Mehdis ruin the old man's utopia (which he suffered so long for in the shah's prisons), now, can we?

god this one, don't know whether to laugh or to cry as for the previous panels. A chaser of gallows humour...served black.
