Description:

Established in March 1991, DHTZ is one of China’s first national level hi-tech industrial zones approved by P.R.C state council. Currently, DHTZ covers an area of 153 square kilometers with a coastal line of 41 kilometers and population of 220,000. Through 19 years’ development, DHTZ is now performing as Dalian’s hi-tech industrial base, technology innovation platform, China’s IT/ITES and hi-tech industries pivot and also the pillar of Liaoning costal economic belt. In the year of 2008, DHTZ was honored as national advanced hi-tech zone by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Sub-parks in the zone with Distinctive Features

■ Qi Xianling Core-Function Area

With a total area of 5.68 km2, it is the home of over 200 well-known enterprises including Dell. Siemens, Citigroup performing as centers of R&D, incubation, industrialization and training. This area is focused on IC design, energy saving and environment protection, advanced electronic product manufacturing, multimedia and digital entertainment, network economy, new business incubation, industrial design, rounded living community.

■ International Software Parks

Dalian Software Park
The park covers an area of 1.45 sqkm with total investment of cover 6 billion RMB, where more than 300 IT/ITES enterprises locate, among which, over 150 are foreign funded, 36 are the Fortune Global 500 list. Featured by BPO, it has become the leading software park of China manifested by its largest export volume and highest foreign capital proportion.

Ascendas IT Park
The park’s gross floor area amounts 610,000 sqm. The phase one business mansion with floor area of 100,000 sqm has been fully occupied; phase two building with another 100,000 sqm offices has been in operation at the beginning of 2009.

Neusoft IT Park
With the gross floor area of 300 thousand sqm, Neusoft has finished its project and started operations.

Shui On Dalian Tiandi IT Hub (under construction)
The construction of living community with total area of 1.1 million sqm in Hekou Bay has started; with planned floor area of over 4 million sqm and total investment of 15 billion RMB Tiandi Software Hub in Huang Nichuan has been partially ready and will be fully completed in 2012, then it will become China’s largest software and service outsourcing base and also ecological live-work-play community by Shui On Land.

■ R&D and Manufacturing Industrial Parks

Longtou Park
With an area of 23.7 km2, Longtou Park is located in the north of Guoshui Road. Longtou Town is on Dalian Hi-tech Industrial Belt, 30km away from downtown Dalian, 2km away from downtown Lvshun. Adjacent to the Yellow Sea to the south, it adjoins the Forest Park to the north and is at the mountain foot and by the seaside. Such geographical situation is very suitable for developing hi-tech industry. The area neighbors the newly built university town.

Longtou Park enjoys convenient transportation. South Lvshun Road, Guoshui Road, North Lvshun Road, the railway from Lvshun to Dalian and the Tuyang Expressway border with or pass through the area. The park under planning is fixed to take the hi-tech industry as the dominant function and the high-end integrated circuit industry as the dominant development orientation, supplemented by the service facilities for residence, scientific research and education, commerce and office, etc.

Ying Geshi Science and Technology Park

On the northwestern tip of the zone with an planned development area of 6 square meters, Ying Geshi Park is planned as a modern R&D and Hi-Tech incubation park integrating software, industry design, living community and scenery resort to accommodate 60,000 people’s living and working.
