Ronnie Uys off to France
Former EP Kings prop Ronnie Uys will continue his career in France after signing with French Pro D2 club Narbonne.
Uys, who was granted a contract on the 'medical joker' system, where a club can replace injured players if the situation becomes dire, cannot wait to make the move.
"It's exciting! It's a new challenge and I can't wait to get over there. Obviously, it's going to be great to experience a new country and new lifestyle, but I also can't wait to experience the French style of rugby and the physical aspects they bring to the game."
Uys will also have a former teammate in Jeandre Mynhardt to help him settle in.
"I'm lucky to have a good friend and former teammate in Jeandre (Mynhardt) over there who will show me around and help me get settled in."
A strong scrummager and powerful ball-carrier, Uys will no doubt add valuable experience to the French side.
