Sid (director Joe Carnahan) and Bob (Dan Leis) are two down-on-their-luck, very fast-talking used car salesmen with a lot full of lemons and a gaping hole in their finances, when, at their most vulnerable, they are offered a deal: Park a cherry Pontiac LeMans convertible for two days...and they get $250,000. The rare post-Tarantino men-with-guns indie that works on its own terms, this hyperactive B-movie has the title selling points in abundance but also a lot of wit and flair.
One of the best debut movies from a first time filmmaker.
No amount of slick style and visual invention can make up for a contrived and unsatisfying wrap-up.

Although I definitely see the problems with it and it suffers from tons of Indie Movie syndrome, Joe Carnahan's debut feature is a testament to what can be done to make an entertaining and watchable film for only around $7,300.
