Atlantis
The Atlantis field located in Gulf of Mexico Green Canyon Block 743/787 in 7,200 ft (2,150 m) water depth. BP is owner and operator with BHP Billeton as partner. Atlantis will be the deepest moored Production Semi-submersible in the world. The unit is designed for one draft only, and shall remain on location in a 100-year hurricane event, moored with a 12-point chain-wire-chain taut-leg.
HSE is one prime objective for the project. During fabrication a 4M man-hours record without recordable incidents or accidents was achieved. Atlantis has 12” production and water injection Steel Catenary Risers. The Export risers are 20”/24” SCR’s. The production and WI risers are hanged off at pontoon level but extended into a riser bay area in the center of the Unit. Direct access with Coil Tubing through a diverter block is provided. The Hull and Quarters were built at DSME, Korea. The Production Modules were built at JRM, Morgan City and was lifted on Atlantis in Corpus Christi. The unit is currently in full production.
