Type locality: Wagap, New Caledonia (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 479). Holotype: Vieillard; 1863; L 940,284-299 (barcode L 0055801) (Millar & Prud'homme van Reine 2005: 543). Notes: Holotype: Vieillard # 2089. Isotypes on L 040,284-300. Yoshida (1998: 1014) cites the lectotype (L 940.284.299).
