The Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), has called off their strike after the intervention of state Labour Minister ST Chellapandian.

They have agreed to withdraw the strike and resume shooting.

A press release was issued on Tuesday evening by the state government asking Tamil Film Producers Council and FEFSI to continue with their talks to resolve the issue. FEFSI agreed to cooperate with shooting and participate in a tripartite meeting.

However this created huge differences within Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC), which resulted in the resignation of 20 members from the council. Remember the TFPC had set up its own labour union and shooting has been going on with workers affiliated to the newly formed union.

The big question being asked by 20 members of TFPC led by Ibrahin Rowther, RK Selvamani, PL Thenappan,  Muralidharan and a few others is what will happen to these workers and the new union formed by the council ?
