Ocean University of China (OUC) warmly welcomes foreign experts and teachers to work in the university, both teaching foreign languages and cooperating in scientific and technological research. Good health, excellent expertise and friendly attitude to China and Chinese people are minimally required.
Currently five foreign languages are taught in the College of Foreign Languages at OUC: English, French, German, Japanese and Korean. For the foreign experts and teachers who are willing to teach foreign languages, we are interested in the applicants who are native speakers of the target languages, sensitive to cross-cultural issues, and meet the following requirements:
(1) At least a bachelor¡¯s degree related to the targeted foreign language;
(2) At least two years of experience in teaching the targeted foreign language;
(3) A certificate in foreign language teaching.
Science and engineering experts should have at least a master¡¯s degree or a technological senior title. Rich experience of scientific and technological research is also required. Other qualifications and responsibilities will be discussed in details with the relevant schools and colleges.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) 14 - 16 teaching hours per week;
2) Responsibility for curriculum and materials development associated with courses taught as well as input into overall program curricula;
3) Attendance at staff development and in-service training meetings;
4) Attendance at orientation, testing, and culminating activities;
5) Submission of syllabi for courses taught; grades, student comments, and attendance record keeping;
6) One year contract minimum.
SALARY and BENEFITS include the following:
1) Free airport pickup;
2) Salary commensurate with educational and teaching experience: RMB 3500-5000 per month;
3) Free apartment with RMB 200 per month support to water, electricity and heating in the department;
4) This language speaking staff to provide assistance in teaching;
5) Free Physical Examination for Foreigner;
6) Free working permit and residence permit;
7) A medical insurance including accident insurance and serious disease insurance;
8) International air tickets allowance (for those with preferred qualifications): RMB 3000-8000 per year;
9) RMB 1000 for luggage delivery when finish working for OUC for at least one year;
10) Free departure to airport.
