Brian Adam MSP

Biography:

Brian joined the SNP in 1974. In 1988 he was elected as a Councillor for Middlefield in Aberdeen serving three terms. In 1999 Brian was elected as MSP for North East Scotland and in 2003 as MSP for Aberdeen North. Born in Newmill, Banffshire in 1948, Brian has an Hons BSc in Biochemistry and a MSc in Clinical Pharmacology from Aberdeen University. Prior to 1999 he was a principal biochemist in the NHS and a trade union activist. He is married with five children, lives in Aberdeen, is active in his church and a keen follower of football.
