Brussels, Belgium - The Congolese comedian, Dieudonné Kabongo, died Tuesday while performing at the cultural centre in Jette, a district of the Belgian capital, Brussels, sources told PANA.
Eyewitnesses said attempts to revive him were in vain as the man died shortly after slumping.
Kabongo, who was born in 1950 in Katanga, DR Congo, and winner of the Prize for the ‘Festival du Rire de Rochefort (France)’ in 1984, was a renowned actor, humourist, compere and story teller.
He was the main actor in the film 'Lumumba' by the Haitian director, Raoul Peck.
He also featured in the film 'Le Couperet', by Costa Gravas.
