Eight years ago, Good Charlotte were riding high, trailed by hordes of pubescent punk wannabees and, for a brief moment, there was an inclination to take the band seriously. Not any more. They have trodden the same decaying boards pretty much ever since and this latest offering is meandering chirpy slobber that sounds more boy band than ever. The problem is that their fan base has grown up now and are either into hardcore punk or listening to Radio Two, neither of which have room for the likes of Good Charlotte. Avoid.
