FC Bayern München striker Alexander Zickler faces six months out after fracturing his right shin in training.

Injury problems
It is the latest in a long line of injuries for the former German international. Zickler has not played a full season for six years now and only recently recovered from a stress fracture of the right foot, which he suffered in March.

Cancer treatment
Two years ago the 29-year-old underwent surgery to remove a tumour from his foot after being diagnosed with cancer.
