Channel Tunnel Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) and Safety Authority (CTSA)

The UK secretariat to the Channel Tunnel IGC and CTSA is provided by ORR.

Their duties are to provide support to the head and members of the UK delegations. This is mirrored by the Secrétariat Géneral au Tunnel sous la Manche in Paris which supports the French delegations to the two bodies.

The IGC and CTSA are independent bi-national bodies which report through the UK and French Governments.

The IGC's official website, available in English and French, includes an explanation of IGC and CTSA's roles and responsibilities (including the special legal framework for the Channel Tunnel) and is the home of all the IGC's published decisions, correspondence, reports and guidance documents.
