Coffey, who is about to begin production on the fifth season of her Bravo series, has expanded her television presence to include a recurring guest co-hosting role on the CBS daytime series “The Talk.” In 2011 and 2012 Coffey shined on the red carpet as Award Show Correspondent for TV Guide Channel at the Academy Awards and appeared as an expert on Fashion Wrap to critique red carpet looks for the Grammy Awards and the Academy Awards. She is also regularly featured as an editorial stylist and contributing writer for fashion and beauty publications including People StyleWatch and PopSugar and she is a regular guest on Sirius’ Larry Flick radio show.
As a sought after public speaker, Coffey has spoken at national beauty industry shows and major business and non-profit events around the world. She has presented at awards shows, including numerous GLAAD Media Awards and Human Rights Commission events. Coffey’s recent accolades include being voted “Most Addictive Reality Star” by fans at the LOGO Network’s Fourth Annual NewNowNext Awards.
Coffey’s memoir, It’s Not Really About the Hair: The Honest Truth About Life, Love, and the Business of Beauty (2011; Harper Collins/ItBooks) is in its fourth printing. The book consistently sold out at venues across the country during Coffey’s national book tour in cities including Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Austin, Atlanta, New York City, Chicago, Toronto, Minneapolis, Boston and Columbus.
While she has made her mark on reality and daytime television, the red carpet and the best-selling author list, Coffey’s “roots” began in the hair industry. From the beginning of her career when she was 14-years- old, to training with Vidal Sassoon in London, to her television debut on Bravo’s “Shear Genius” (2007), Coffey has devoted her professional life to achieving excellence in hair design and education.
While Coffey regularly travels around the world to educate stylists, she also works closely to help create the incredible hairstyles featured in advertising and trend collection imagery. Over the last 28 years, Coffey has worked with a veritable who’s-who of the industry in Australia, Great Britain and the United States.
