(NFS)	Bantarou's utterly adorable. I really love all the Jubei-chan cast, but Bantarou truly jumped out when I first saw him. Aside from being a parody of the typical schoolboy rough (love that jacket and hat!) he's just a really unusual, creative character. I've read that he's carried over from another series that the creator did. Must find it! Clutching his little love letter...one-upped by Shiro again.
(NFS)	I love this one. It's just the wackiest image. I especially like the really thick linework on it. This one's just dying to be used for graphics, somewhere...just to figure out the best use for it.
(NFS)	The Ruffians, or Unrefined (which ever you prefer,) run into action! Here for some heroic, Jiyu-saving action, Bantarou brings along the Lovely Eyepatch. They're the cutest little team. And I love the changing kanji on Bantarou's shirt! I need to get a shirt like that.
(NFS)	One of those Love At First Sight cels. This shot just carries the whole feel of the series with it. There's just something about dried-out corpses that I can't resist! Err...well, really, I like it, anyway. Oh, and the wavy lines are the result of my not fully unbagging the cel before scanning. Lazy.
(NFS)	The Bantrio marches along toward Jiyu's place to deliver that love letter, rain or shine, day or night! (Well, more specifically...night.) Mere moments before meeting up with our man Tenchi Muyonosuke! (I love that little guy, and love saying his name even more.) Random thought to fill up space: Wacky, crazy, hyper-active Bantarou is voiced by none other than Ueda Yuuji, also known as TV's moody, taciturn Hamel. Mind-boggling, it is. Until you hear them scream, and then it's just so right.
(NFS)	An incredibly fun cel; here the Bantrio (plus one) charge forth to smite evil-doers, and to defend maidens in distress. Rather, they're about to beat up Jiyu's papa. I couldn't resist. It's even got writing! I love cels with writing on them. I should note that this cel is frickin HUGE. I had to shrink it a great deal to fit into the thumbnail size, but it's actually a very large cel, on an even larger background. It wouldn't even fit in the scanner, which is about 14x17 inches, I think. After finally locating a ruler, I've found that the cel is a whopping 35 x 42cm.
