  • Summary: Step into the boots of Frank Keegan, Corporal of the 82nd Airborne Division and engage in battles throughout Europe. From Operation Husky on the shores of Sicily to Operation Varsity inside Nazi Germany, you'll fight behind enemy lines in the epic WWII battles that turned America's first paratroopers into heroes of WWII. Featuring spectacular graphics adding to epic combat intensity, Medal of Honor Vanguard makes you the driving force in the struggle to liberate Europe. As the first game in the Medal of Honor series to be released on the Nintendo Wii platform, players can expect Medal of Honor Vanguard to take full advantage of Wii’s one-of-a-kind controllers. 1. A solid if unexciting WWII game on either platform. There’s little reason to pick up the game unless you blasted through Call of Duty 3 and are looking for more.

If you can live with it, and I suspect many can, you will undoubtedly find Vanguard to be an entertaining and intense first-person shooter. For me, this is just the beginning of better games to come. I don't want to choose between tight controls or good graphics. I expect them both.
  3. Despite the lack of originality, Vanguard has drawn on a wealth of experience, meaning that thanks to some great level design and a wonderfully atmospheric soundtrack, there is no need to rely on the wealth of triggered animated events that overwhelm Call of Duty 3 at times.
  4. Screw fighting, I surrender--anything to keep me from wading through this awkward war game. [May 2007, p.81]

Revolutionary game for a revolutionary system. The best utilization of controls on a FPS for the Wii.

This is an OK game everything is just middle of the road. But as far as First Person Shooters on the Wii, this game is a step in the right direction (unlike Red Steel), Hopefully Metriod Prime 3 will set the benchmark. Expand

This is a horrible game. The graphics make me gag, the controls are dreadful and the multyplayer is just plain putrid. The Wii is great; this game is not. Expand
