Dear 6th IGF Participants,

The Kenya Internet Governance Steering committee wishes to thank you all for attending and participating in the 6th United Nations Internet Governance Forum (UN-IGF) held in Nairobi, Kenya.

So many people and organisations contributed in so many ways to turn this event into a successful forum, with many very interesting workshops and a very good atmosphere for multi-stakeholder dialogue, discussions and networking.

We owe a special thank you to all our partners whose generosity made the 6th UN-IGF possible. We also thank the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) for their enormous and high-quality support.

Paragraph 72 of the Tunis World Summit on the Information (WSIS) Agenda reads: 72. We ask the UN Secretary-General, in an open and inclusive process, to convene, by the second quarter of 2006, a meeting of the new forum for multi-stakeholder policy dialogue— called the Internet Governance Forum (IGF).
