of public lands...all just waiting for snowmobilers, cross-country skiers,
downhill skiers, snow boarders, snowshoers, ice skaters, ice fishermen, and dog
sledders to explore. There are over 600 miles of groomed trails, a ski resort
and untold hundreds of miles of soft powder trails for off-trail explorers to
revel on. For the most adventuresome, there is snowmobiling the Pelican Butte
Crater– a precipitous, heart-stopping ride! Call us and we’ll hook you up with our skiing clubs and snowmobiling clubs... they’ll be glad to show you around. Ask us, too, about the GREAT resorts that will
warm you up and feed you when you’ve exhausted yourself from pleasure!

Snowmobiling
The members of these snowmobile groups stand ready to show you the best places
to snowmobile in the Klamath Basin. Get a room for a few days and give them a
call...they can take you to Pelican Butte one day, Medicine Lake the next,
Diamond Lake the next and top off your snowmobiling adventures with and
off-trail tour of the less-visited Swan Lake area for the finale!!!!!
Sno-Park Permits are generally required. The cost is $20 at the Department
of Motor Vehicles 1909 Austin Street. Also available at Klamath Basin Equipment,

Klamath Basin Snowdrifters www.kbsnowdrifters.org ( 90 members strong. One of the state’s oldest snowmobile groups – since 1965. Call about schedule for monthly group ride.
This club hosts rides over 1185 miles of
groomed trails in the region–to Clover Creek,
Lake of the Woods, Pelican Butte, Annie Creek,
Sun Mountain, Diamond Lake, Union Creek,
and Swan Lake. Also Gearhart Mountain,
Quartz Mountain, Fishhole Road and Aspen
Ridge. Also Crescent and Medicine Lake.
