MT. OSSA - Homework Machine
Music Player:

California-based quintet, MT. OSSA, released their debut album for purchase on Bandcamp on Oct. 21 and have been gaining notice recently for their quality sounds and colorful performances. Homework Machine has been available for streaming on SoundCloud most of this year, but was taken down for the month of August.

The group has received some attention in California because of how uniquely successful their psychedelic performances are. "We've always been into a lot of colors and the brightness of everything," drummer Tony Tancredi told OC Weekly back in May. "We want people to feel that when they see us. We want them to see the whole picture when we're playing live."

In July, Turntable Kitchen called "Love Jam," the single they released in March 2013, "a colorful slice of warbled psych-pop with a disco groove."

MT. OSSA released their first single November 2012, but they were truly born March 1, when they emerged from a house in Mission Viejo. They claimed in an interview they essentially hibernated there for the entire time they recorded their album. When they "emerged," they almost immediately managed to book a gig opening for Todd Rungren and have been quickly gaining momentum ever since.
