Rabina Khan

Rabina Khan is the author of Ayesha’s Rainbow, Behind the Hijab and Silent Voicees and has also written for BBC London.  She wrote and produced two short films – ‘The Good Wife’, sponsored by Sixteen Films, and ‘Shrouded’, which was commissioned by London Met Services.  Rabina also wrote the play ‘Shilpa and Jade’ for the Wellcome Trust Pulse Project in 2007.  These projects have been completed alongside her work as a Councillor in Tower Hamlets, London, along with being a Cabinet Member for Housing, Development and Renewal, and School Governor. In 2003 Rabina formed Silsila Productions, a creative Art Format Company, producing many small independent projects for various organisations including The Heritage, London Met and BBC.  In 2010 she was short listed for the European Muslim Women of Influence Award.
