Valerie est un blog et un réseau artistique créé en 2007 par College, un musicien et producteur d’origine Nantaise. Depuis ses débuts, Valerie a vu évoluer en son sein plusieurs projets musicaux comme Anoraak, The Outrunners, Minitel Rose, Russ Chimes ou bien encore Maethelvin. Grâce au blog Discodust, Valerie a également rencontré le collectif de graphistes allemand The Zonders qui a signé les pochettes et visuels de bon nombre de ces projets. En parallèle de ces collaborations de longue date, de nombreux artistes internationaux et labels comme Steve Moore, Electric Youth, Parallels, Astro Chicken, Fred Ventura, David Vunk ou bien encore Polysick soutiennent la créativité de Valerie depuis bientôt 5 ans.
Valerie s’est également lancé dans la production en sortant deux 45 tours avec le concours du collectif d’artiste new-yorkais Free Danger. L’année 2011 verra d’ailleurs l’activité du label se développer encore avec la création d’une nouvelle subdivision intitulée “Composer Series” et dédiée à des pièces musicales principalement instrumentales.
Valerie is a blog and an artistic network created in 2007 by College, a musician and a producer from Nantes. Since its debuts, Valerie saw evolving within it several projects musical as Anoraak, The Outrunners, Minitel Rose, Russ Chimes either still Maethelvin. Thanks to the blog Discodust, Valerie also met the German collective of graphic designers The Zonders who signed numerous cover and flyers and pictures of a lot of these projects. In parallel of these long-time collaborations, numerous international artists and labels as Steve Moore, Electric Youth, Parallels, Astro Chicken, Fred Ventura, David Vunk either still Polysick support the creativity of Valerie for soon 5 years.
Valerie also started producing with the release of two 7inch with the cooperation of the collective of New York artist Free Danger. Year 2011 will moreover see the activity of the label developing still with the creation of new one subdivision entitled “Composer Series” and dedicated to mainly instrumental project.
