Nationwide search for real life ‘Carl’

Aqua Teen Hunger Force goes live action

Are you a little dumpy? Losing your hair? Well, throw on a musty tank top, some sweats and flip flops and head down to San Diego for your shot at Adult Swim immortality.

Adult Swim’s hit show Aqua Teen Hunger Force is an off the wall show that has to be seen to be believed. The cartoon stars what looks to be a fry cooks nightmare in the form of a large (man sized) shake, an order of fries with a goatee, and literally a wad of uncooked meat. As gross and impossible as all that sounds the show that features Master Shake, Frylock, and yes Meat Wad will somehow film a live episode.

The three stars have a next door neighbor named Carl who often takes the brunt of the trio’s jokes and misdeeds. Carl is a middle aged white man complete with receding hairline, dirty tank top, etc. He’s also as stupid as a bag of hammers. Considering that Carl is one of the few ‘normal’ looking characters, they’re going to need a real Carl for a live episode.

The search for a real life Carl will begin in San Diego at the Omni Hotel during the Sand Diego Comic Con on Saturday, July 26th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. So get your worst pair of sweats, and put some spaghetti stains on that tank top you stole from your sweaty dad and head down to San Diego.

Dave Willis, the co creator of the show and the voice of Carl will be on hand to aid in the judging. If you need some inspiration just head over to adultswim.com in order to get a gander at Carl.
