Anyone in the marching band? by Weeberzin Purdue

[–]jpenn2112 6 points7 points ago

It was my first year in the marching band as a freshmen in the trombone section and I have to say that it was one of the best decisions I made a Purdue. One of the biggest concerns is the time commitment but it's easy to work around and we have tons of fun. Another thing is that every one that is there wants to be there. Although you get credit for being in the band, the main reason people are in it is to have fun. I had some great experiences from the band and I can't wait for the next three years.

By the way, I'm not that great at trombone either but I had a great time. We have one of the closest sections and I HIGHLY recommend it. Just let me know if you have any questions about the band or section!

I got called a demon and got handed a "Finding Jesus" brochure after doing my ACR. I found it pretty funny and I still have the brochure.

I wanted to prank my dorm RA so I took pictures of about half the people on the floor and photoshopped them all together to create one generic floor person. The reason for this was to create a picture of someone that my RA would recognize, but not be able to completely figure out who it was. I posted it on the bulletin board as student of the week and then let it sit. For the next week, my RA was walking through the hall trying to find this mystery student. He said that he swore he saw him the other day but didn't know who it was. Needless to say, my RA almost lost it because he had no idea who this person was.
